Gen-z protest and social media
The recent uprising of youth in Sri Lanka , Bangladesh, Nepal and India has ignited the debate on political rights and the new dimension of political consciousness among youth . The youth particularly Gen-z have shaped all the protest from inflation problem in Sri Lanka ,to banningb of social media in Nepal ,to paper leak problem in India, the protest were not only held in streets but also through memes in social media,they have not hold make in raising their voice instead of being silent by the system. This has also brought the social media companies under the radar of goverment and it will be interesting to observe how things wi ll be unrapped between the social media companies and goverment beyond the South East Asia,as the students protest video also inspire the youth which are deeply inter connected through social media in raising the voice .
